“Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household.” (Ephesians 2:19)

The loving heart of the shepherd seeking the lost sheep in the wilderness, the desperate heart of the bride searching for the lost wedding presents, and the heart of the father anxiously waiting for his lost son, this is the heart of the God which Jesus revealed to us through the book of Luke 15.

In the Luke 15, you also see the older son who does not understand the father’s heart. The father climbs up to the hill everyday looking for his son to come back. But the older son is only interested in his share of inheritance. He was living with his father, but his heart was far away from him like his prodigal brother.

Jesus came to the Earth to be the true older brother the way God meant him to be. Jesus came to this Earth with the heart of God to seek and save His lost children. From His cross 2000 years ago and up until this moment, Jesus is saving His lost children by giving away His life and enduring the pain and suffering.

Mokjang is a family where God is the father.  Mokjang embraces the heart of God and seeks out the lost children with Jesus. Mokjang becomes the hands and feet of Jesus and carries out His plan. Mokjang rejoices and weeps with Jesus. In Mokjang, thrilling things happen where the lost children come back to the Father’s welcoming arms and are reborn with the new spirit.

In Luke 15, the father celebrates with an enormous feast when the lost son came back to him again. I pray that in the year 2020, our Mokjangs, the family of God, will also rejoice with such celebration.
