How have you been? Our Sunday service yesterday was offered with praises and worship dance as well as an end-of-semester service at our Christian training center.

I gave a sermon on the Christmas spirit, and its meaning from the book of Matthew 2:1-12 saying that the spirit of giving and offering is the true meaning of Christmas. Our God gave us His precious one and only Son, Jesus. Jesus poured out His life unto death for us. Magi from the east presented their precious treasures to baby Jesus.

Then what can we offer to our Lord ? I challenged and spurred their hearts with this question in my message.  I said that we should offer ourselves and our hearts to Him, as well as center our lives on Him. It was not easy but I wanted to share this message to them because people here are so used to receiving rather than giving, and consider spiritual life as a means to obtain something ㅎㅎㅎ

Looking back at 2021, there was not a moment that I was not thankful. Although we were in the COVID pandemic, we were able to complete the constructions for a women's dormitory, a new house for George, a new office building, and a guest house. The short term training for the local ministers also was a successful one that exceeded my expectations. Furthermore, I was really grateful for the semester I spent together with the fourteen students in the Christian training center for two months. George, who lives in the same space with us, one day joked that we finished ten year worth of work within one year in 2021 ㅎㅎㅎ.

I believe that it is the power of your prayer and your encouragement of unchanging love that I can close off the fruitful year of 2021 with good health and welcome the new year of 2022. I thank you deeply. Be healthy and well. For this Christmas and the blessed new year of 2022 as well, I pray that our Lord’s glorious riches and His ‘walking’ with you will be plentiful in your precious families, ministries and daily lives.

I love you and bless you !!! Jesus is my Lord.
