    The journey of Faith

Pitied are those who cannot live without acknowledging God but do not want to get close to God.  Pitied are those who think it is wise to keep distance to God. Pitied are those who always do not put God first. Pitied are those who do not mind losing God and who do not thirst for God. Pitied are those who claim themselves to be Christians but do not have a personal love for him. Pitied are those who do not try to understand the heart of God.  They are pitied because as much as they are away from God, they are further away from experiencing his love, his grace, and his power.  It is not good for us to have iffy, lukewarm faith.

Blessed are those who are united with God in mysterious ways, whose heart is filled with the heart of God, and whose love is pursuing God. Blessed are those whose heart is filled with the joy and the sorrow of God, and his power is experienced in their lives. Blessed are those whose business is God’s business and God’s business is their business. Blessed are those whose sorrow is God’s sorrow and whose joy is God’s joy. As Christians, these are the blessings we should be going after.

Jesus said to his disciples, “Follow me.”  In their journey following Jesus, they discovered themselves in discovering him. Their motives were not pure at the start but while walking with Jesus their hearts became united with him. Jesus worked in their lives and they embraced his joy and sorrow.

In the book of Acts 13:22, God said about David “a man after my own heart.”  God seeks for those who understand the heart of God and follow his heart, and whose heart is united with his heart. The greatest blessing God gave us from the cross of Jesus and his resurrection is that his heart (spirit) is being poured into our heart. The prophecy of God for thousands of years in the old statement is being fulfilled to Christians in the current time. Paul confessed in the 1 Corinthians 2:16, “We have the mind of Christ”.

Are you heading in the right direction in your journey? Are you taking joy in the love, the happiness, the sorrow, and the power of Jesus?
