‘Family retreat’ means a lot to the Hanmaum Church family; it is filled with such good memories. The praise and prayer where we shed tears together, the fun times where we laughed until our stomachs hurt, the image of those who were baptized, warm sharings in front of the campfire… our children grew together like that and became closer as a family. Our children couldn't wait for the church retreat each year. During the retreat, they felt nostalgic as the last day drew near, already anticipating next year’s retreat.
Our church has decided to pass the helm of such a precious family retreat to our next generation. Since last year, the retreat has been carried out entirely in English, and we even invited English congregations from other churches. To the college graduates who are back home for a summer that lasts over three months, and to our children who are being nurtured without an English minister, I pray that this retreat will be an unforgettable time of blessing.
The retreat is only a week away, and we need to make it happen as one. My heart and your heart, my hands and your hands, along with our prayers, all together will turn this retreat into a heavenly festival. Please gather your hearts together this week for the retreat. In your place of prayer, remember the retreat and pray, helping in any way you can.
Following the shepherd…
