This is a prayer that someone named Gilyoung Cha made for children. I think it will be a handy tool for those learning how to pray. I also believe that it would be a good idea to give this prayer to our children, who do not yet have the spiritual ability to protect themselves in the fearsomes and intense spiritual fight. Gradually, we could build up our own prayer as well.
<A Prayer Before Studying>
Lord! I am planning to study now. Disperse all distractions and please help me to focus on my work. Keep me from sleepiness and protect me from evil spirits that steal my focus and take my thoughts. Allow me to understand and remember for a long time all the things I have learned. Help me remember that the purpose of my studies is for Your glory. Use me for Your will. Lord, make studying enjoyable and let me take true joy out of it. Father, grant me patience and diligence. Help me to do my best so I will have no regrets. Lead me to use my knowledge and wisdom to make this world pleasing to Your eyes. Grant me with endurance and passion so that I can tirelessly put my effort into studying. Bless with me a strong faith and dissolve my fears. Give me confidence. Save the peace I have in You from breaking. If I fail and fall, give me the strength and courage to get back up. Instead of comparing myself with others, help to love the ‘self’ You have given me. Allow me to live a life where I am not only reaching out for my own stars but help others to grasp their own dreams. Fill my life with laughter and joy. Lead me to continuously praise You in gratefulness. I trust You wholeheartedly! Lord! Please work with me to overcome my ego and make me humble. Father, I do not know anything. Please have mercy on me. I declare that in this moment, I am victorious. I pray in Jesus name! Amen!
<A Prayer To Lift God Up>
Holy Spirit, please help my prayer. Help me realize all the grace You have poured down on me. I pray that I genuinely come to know how deep, high, and wide Your love really is. Lord, I would like to live the life of prayer like Daniel. I desire to experience the power of prayer more. That You would tell me more secrets about prayer. That I would put more effort into praying. That I would put more time into praying. All the power and authority is Yours. As a child of God, I enjoy everything for free. Thank You for making me Your child. All I have, it is given by You. Lord You are my father. I trust You. You are faithful. You are good. You are my refuge. God, have pity and mercy on me. Come into my life. Allow me a great faith. I want to love You more, to know You more. Keep my heart from falling into temptation. Engrave Your words onto my soul. Allow me to live for Your glory.
